Head wall was damaged by vehicle. Found Frank on line and read his reviews and look at his photos so I gave him a call. He responded quickly and after discussing the situation, I felt like he was the man for my job. Once I received the insurance check, we set up a day for the repair. Frank was here as scheduled and made all repairs including washing the old existing areas as he promised. My bricks were not available but he found some that were very close. I will recomend Frank Turner to anyone needing brick work or any of his abilities for repair or new construction. Comments: Arrived at appointed time, very courteous. Maintenance on unit was satisfactory after twenty years of nonuse did get the unit to work. Did not get the wall switch for the fireplace blower to work, was able to show the blower worked on 120v, said the switch was bad did not attempt to check it for power. I checked the switch later with a volt meter and it tested good. My problem is I do not know if the fan is on low voltage and if the thermopile is defective or the wiring from the fireplace to the wall switch is bad. In all fairness the unit’s remote control works and the fireplace works okay without the blower, the blower would make it better.

I explained clearly to this gentleman that the pilot assembly (including the Thermocouple) was working fine after the refurbishing maintenance I did. (Removal of rust and corrosion from the pilot assembly and main control valve) The unit had just been setting for 20 years…! The blower works fine. It is a 110v device so there is not any low voltage current connected to it…! The wiring inside of the drywall from the gas unit to the light switch for the fan or the wall switch is faulty. He would need to get an electrician to remove the drywall to replace the electrical wiring.

The only issue was the cleanup after the job was completed there was a great deal of “slag” that was left behind on a pool deck surface that had recently been stained and sealed. It was so bad that a pressure washer would not take the mortar off the pool deck. We found a material that when sprayed on concrete dissolves it completely. It took a good deal of work to clean up. This installation was a block foundation with a natural flagstone exterior finish, stainless steel doors and a large flat top grill installation.

Comments: Mr. Turner came to our home to update the tuckpointing on our home in Cherokee Park, Nashville. He was pleasant, but did not fill a sizable portion of the mortar holes that he had agreed to fill in the estimate. My husband had to repeatedly ask him to fill additional holes before he left. After we looked over the job in the following few days, we found numerous areas that had not been tuckpointed, including some areas that my husband had pointed out. Finally, the area around the home was littered with mortar that was not cleaned up. I would not use this service again, and Mr. Turner was unhelpful on the phone whe I tried to discuss.

This job was performed exactly what Mr.S and I agreed to. This is an old house and the complete structure needed tuckpointed. After the bid he stated that he could not afford to get the whole house repaired that his main concern was tuckpointing the front of the house and two more noticeable places on the side and one in the rear. He complemented the work when finished and two weeks later his wife called stating that she was not satisfied and thought the whole house was supposed to get repaired. There seems to have been a miscommunication between the husband and wife. The wife was not present when the bid and work order was agreed upon

Only issue is big mess was made during the project and there was only 1 small blanket laid down to protect the hardwood floors from the rock while under construction.
